Founded in 1923, Welwyn Garden City Golf Club is situated just outside the town centre and just a short drive from junction 6 of the A1M. Our classic parkland course is renowned for its undulating tree-lined fairways, fair and true greens and fantastic drainage, allowing year round play.

We pride ourselves on being the only members’ club in the Welwyn and Hatfield area, providing a warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Members and visitors can enjoy a relaxing drink on our patio, with stunning views over the 17th fairway, or a sit down meal prepared by our head chef upstairs in our dining room with panoramic views across the course.

We are proud to be the home club of six-time Major winner Sir Nick Faldo and two-time Portugal Masters champion, European Tour and PGA Tour professional Tom Lewis.

Society Golf Days at Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire

We understand that whilst the quality of the course is of great importance to visiting groups, the clubhouse facilities are also a vital part of an enjoyable day.

Welwyn Garden City Golf Club is the perfect venue for society and corporate golf days, offering an excellent golf course, with clubhouse facilities and friendly staff to match.

We now provide a package offering exceptional added value for societies of over 16 players.

Societies are welcome Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays). Small societies are welcome Saturday afternoons subject to availability.

We can offer a complete range of packages – from coffee & bacon roll on arrival followed by 18 holes of golf to a full day’s golf with breakfast, lunch and dinner.

If our packages do not suit your requirements we would be happy to tailor a bespoke golf day to your needs.

Our Winter Package offers incredible value for money on a course that drains well, offering great conditions year-round.

With the course in excellent condition year-round, and greens almost always on main rather than temporary greens, this is the perfect place if you hold a meeting between November and March.
