The Golf Course
Yelverton Golf Course in South Devon, has outstanding views across Dartmoor and over Cornwall and is a very natural moorland course. It was originally designed by Herbert Fowler, opened in 1904, with further updates overseen by James Braid.
The course has been host to many top quality competitions, including the EGU Men’s Senior Amateur Championships in 2006 and the Devon Golf Men and Ladies Amateur Championship in 2023.
Yelverton Golf Club is ranked in the ‘Top 100 Golf Courses’ in England and also ranked as the 5th best in Devon and 90th in England by the National Club Golfer (2025-26).
A Welcoming Club
There are several friendly groups to join at different times of the week, such as the Ladies, Vets and Pounders with a thriving Junior section.
The Clubhouse is open to the public, and we also welcome ramblers, cyclists and other groups that want to enjoy our excellent food & beverages in the Bar, Restaurant and on the Terrace overlooking Cornwall.

Society Packages 2026/7
Yelverton Golf Club has a tradition of offering a quality Golf Society experience in our Clubhouse and on our outstanding Moorland Course. We offer a range of Society packages that our ‘tailored’ to your Society and requirements. These include:
- Golf only options, 1, 2 or 3 day offers
- Breakfast and Golf options
- Golf and One / Two Course Meal options
- Breakfast, Golf and One / Two Course Meal options
When enquiring and booking your society package you will work closely with a dedicated administrator to ensure your requirements are understood and the package is appropriately tailored.
We can cater for up to 60 players (minimum of 12) and, depending on the size of your society, our prices start from just £37 per person.
