Established in 1890 Grantown-on-Spey Golf Club is one of the finest golf venues in Cairngorm National Park area. The course was designed by Willie Park with assistance from James Braid. Situated in the Cairngorm National Park, the course is approximately thirty five miles south east of Inverness. Grantown is the capital of Strathspey and is a small and friendly town with a grand history of tourism.

There is also a traditional Clubhouse offering hearty meals and tipples overlooking the first tee.

Lewis Ware Head PGA Professional. Lewis provides a fully stocked PGA Professional Shop, custom fitting, repairs and a full coaching service.

Visitors are always assured of a warm and friendly welcome at the Club.

Our Membership offers real advantages to regular and new golfers.

Being a member of an established golf club like Grantown on Spey offers many benefits to the keen player to complete beginner looking for a new club.

As well as preferential access to a quality golf course (which in addition to the advantages outlined above, is usually much more cost-effective than pay-and-play for regular golfers)

We aim to provide:

• A home club at which your handicap may be held
• Your own PGA professional staff to support and advise you on your game and equipment
• Excellent practice facilities
• The chance to play and mix with people who share your interest in the game
• An active and varied social scene
• The opportunity to play for your club both home and away in team matches – our club teams include men’s, seniors sides, ladies, mixed and of course juniors, plus we enter teams in county events such as the Northern County Championships and others.
• Competitive golf – being a member provides lots of opportunities to compete in a wide variety of club competitions including stableford, matchplay, medal, greensomes, foursomes, better-ball,scrambles and bogey competitons.

Grantown On Spey Golf Club welcomes visitors

All sections have extensive competitive schedules, there are regular mixed matches (both internal and inter-club), and there is competitive golf available for everyone all year round. For the gentlemen there is a monthly medal, a monthly stableford and two midweek competitions every month of the year, in addition to the many trophy events (for which winners have their names immortalised on our honours boards).

We also realise that not everyone wants to play in formal competitions. Some of our members choose not to maintain handicaps, and to simply enjoy social golf with friends – and that’s just fine too.

Membership is currently available in some categories and we welcome applications from all standards of golfer. If you are considering becoming a member then you are most welcome to play the course to assist your decision, and your first green fee will be deducted from your initial subscription.
