Avid golfer, respected official and dedicated volunteer Lynne Terry committed to working with clubs, areas and counties
Lynne Terry has expressed her total commitment to making sure Scottish Golf leads from the front and continues to create fresh opportunities for the growth and development of the game during her term as president of the governing body.
Terry, a member at Cruden Bay and Newmachar golf clubs and a tireless supporter of the club and amateur game, was elected president at Scottish Golf’s recent AGM, taking over the role from Paul Gibson.
For over 20 years, Terry has been involved as a dedicated volunteer firstly with the SLGA, overseeing its finances for 11 years, and latterly with Scottish Golf.
During that time, she has served on the CONGU Board and its Technical Committee, The R&A Rules Committee and the European Handicapping and Course Rating Committee.
As a keen golfer, Terry has also represented Scotland in the Senior Women’s Home Internationals and through the Scottish Senior Women’s Golf Association.
This deep knowledge of, and passion for, the game is something she is keen to bring to the fore during her spell as president.
