The Cornwall Golf A Team and B Team Championships took place on Saturday 16th May during the final day of Men’s County Week 2026.

The teams from Truro, China Fleet, Mullion and St Mellion qualified for the A Team Championships semi-finals with Truro playing St Mellion and Mullion taking on China Fleet.

In the final, it was another close match, with Mullion winning the first match before St Mellion came storming back to even the match at 1 all. The third Mullion pairing of Ed Sherlock and Ash Jackson managed to win the third match and claiming the 2026 A Team Championship title for Mullion.

The B Team Championship semi-finals saw Porthpean take on Falmouth and Truro was against Budock Vean.

Both semi-finals were close matches with Porthpean edging out Falmouth by 2 matches to 1 and Budock Vean managed to win by the same scoreline by 2 matches to Truro’s 1.

With the B Team Championships being off handicap, this meant the shot situation would prove important, especially with the majority of shots being on the back 9 holes.

Budock Vean got off to a good start winning the first match, however Porthpean came back to win match 3 to tie the score at 1 match all. The second match of Piran Trerize and Colin Kruse of Budock Vean and the Porthpean partnership of Karl Rance and Simon Hartley finished all square, which meant the final would be decided by extra holes. It was the Budock Vean pair who managed a birdie at the 1st playoff hole and win the 2026 B Team Championships for Budock Vean.
