Ring Of Kerry Golf Club

EXPERIENCE A TRUE HIDDEN GEM

STUNNING GOLF & SCENERY

Challenging and relaxing, it’s hard not to enjoy the sheer magnificence that is the Ring of Kerry Golf Club. The spectacular course designed by Eddie Hackett and Ron Kirby offers golfers a unique heathland and parkland experience blending sweeping diverse terrain and winding mature tree-lined fairways, all while providing stunning views of Kenmare Bay and the Caha Mountains.

Course Information

The architectural brief to Eddie Hackett was simple. ‘Design a world-class golf course’ – He did

Visionary in its construction, the course was the final project of Eddie Hackett, one of Ireland’s greatest golf course architects. The heathland topography of the site and its sand-based construction allowed him to harness the finest elements of modern golf course design.

Since opening, the course has been continuously developed and matured over the last two decades, creating individual playing characteristics that cannot be found elsewhere in Irish golf. In particular, the work by Ron Kirby (formerly of Jack Nicklaus Design) led to the creation of some of the finest putting surfaces in Ireland.

Measuring 6718 yards from the back tees, the course tightly clings to the natural contours of over 150 acres of rolling Kerry hillside, with panoramic vistas of Kenmare Bay and The Atlantic Ocean.

The lower tees towards the coast offer the player a characteristic parkland golf environment while generous sand-based fairways and firm greens also introduce some links golf attributes to the play. Above the clubhouse reveals the finest elements of Irish heathland golf, with abundant indigenous wildlife and flora.

The various tee options ensure that The Ring Of Kerry offers the most enjoyable round for players of all golfing abilities. We look forward to welcoming you soon!
